Mexico Oaxaca Monte Albán

Mexico Oaxaca Monte Albán

Built in approximately 500 BC, Monte Albán was one of the earliest cities in Mesoamerica and today stands as a testament to the power and sophistication of the Zapotec civilization. In the shadow of the Monte Albán ruins lies the municipality of Santa Cruz Xoxocotlán, where descendants of the Zapotecs grow coffee on small, nearby farms at altitudes between 1,700 and 1,900 meters. Often overshadowed by its neighbor state Chiapas, Oaxaca can hold its own with the quality and complexity of coffees it produces. With flavors of mixed berry, cherry, red apple, and pink grapefruit, this selection features a creamy body and good balance. Enjoy!
