We recommend storing coffee in its original packaging, protected from light and extreme temperatures. (In a cabinet is perfect!) The original bag has a one-way valve, which allows the coffee to de-gas without getting stale. Once the bag has been opened, just roll down the top of the bag and secure as much as possible. If you prefer to transfer the coffee to a container, a metal or ceramic canister with an airtight lid works best. Plastic should be avoided.
