El Salvador Finca Monte Rey
Situated on the side of the Volcán de Santa Ana in western El Salvador's Apaneca-Ilamatepec mountain range, Finca Monte Rey is the pride and joy of owners Nancy Majano de Arenivar and José Arenivar. The Arenivars tend mostly Bourbon and Pacas cultivars grown in rich, volcanic soil at elevations of 1,250-1,600 meters above sea level, with the very best coffees processed directly on the farm using their own own micro-mill and parabolic dryers. To create this year’s Finca Monte Rey selection we combined our two favorite lots – Tablones Especiales and Pradera – to produce a coffee that displays the classic characteristics of an El Salvador. We invite you to try its light citrus, apple cider, and buttered caramel flavors so you too can taste what makes this coffee so special!
