Mexico Kulaktik Organic Certified Fair Trade Certified

Colectivo's history with Kulaktik dates back to 1998 when we were first introduced to the cooperative through its Milwaukee sister parish, Sts. Peter & Paul on the East Side. Kulaktik – meaning 'vine' in the Mayan language Tzeltal – is located in the highlands of Chiapas an hour northeast of the colonial city of San Cristóbal de Las Casas. The group now boasts more than 250 members, carries its own export license, and helps its farmers maintain a focus on quality improvements. Our Mexico Kulaktik is approachable and smooth with light notes of cocoa, lemon, honey, and orange blossom.
