Among specialty buyers, Kenya consistently ranks among the top origins for the complexity and clarity of its coffees. This delightful Featured Farm offering comes from Ngaita Factory, one of three washing stations owned and operated by the Ndumberi Farmers’ Cooperative Society, located in Kiambu County just north of the capital city of Nairobi.
The 2,600+ members of Ndumberi deliver ripe cherries to these washing stations where the coffee is carefully processed before being dried on raised beds for 7-15 days. We love the tropical fruit and chocolate notes and classic winey flavor of this selection – the hallmark of a great Kenyan coffee – as well as its clear, pronounced acidity. Enjoy!
